Troy Austin (A.K.A. T-Roy), is a talented Producer and Engineer at DiamondMind Studio. T-Roy was born and raised in San Bernardino, CA. As a teenager, he lived with his grandma, aunt and uncle. His aunt and uncle saw that music was much more than just a passion, so they allowed him to build a low budget studio in their garage. That is when he started producing his own songs and songs for local artists. His aunt told him that he should seriously consider pursuing a career in music and suggested he attend college for it. He applied and submitted his music to American Intercontinental University and was instantly granted a scholarship to obtain a degree in Media Arts and Recording Engineering. He studied and took classes in recording arts, engineering, film and audio production. As a student, T-Roy also served as an intern for several established recording engineers and producers in Los Angeles, CA. Soon, he went from interning to actually engineering for major producers and artist such as Cavie, Duane DaRock Ramos, Talib Kweli, KRS One and Big Gipp (Goodie Mob). To this day, he continues to study and learn from other great producers, engineers and artists and blend their styles and techniques into his own. T-Roy developed the majority of his talent by learning from the people around him and experimenting in the studio.
