Description: Johann Pachelbel's "Canon in D Major", written ca. 1680, was originally scored for three violins and basso continuo. The present arrangement features harp and nylon string guitar. Our two jazz variations preserve the basso continuo feature of the original Canon. Variation II is written in 19/4 time and phrased 3-3-2-2-2-3-2-2.
