What usages does your licensing agreement allow?

Our Standard License covers most typical uses, including:

- internet use (website, videos, slide shows, etc.)

- In corporate videos, TV or Radio shows (not for TV/Radio advertising)

You only need the Theatrical license for Commercial Films or Theatre presentations. Music usage for non-commercial projects, such as a college movie, or participation in a contest, or a film festival is included in the Standard License. For all commercial film productions - Unlimited duration, Worldwide license:

- Standard license cost (e.g. $34.95) plus $250 per song for Theatrical synchronization license

How do I buy a royalty free stock music track?

Once you find a track that you want to purchase, simply click the “add to cart” button. Once you are ready to purchase all of your tracks go to cart.  From here you can choose to pay either with Visa, Mastercard, Discover, AMEX, or with a PayPal account.  Just fill out the appropriate information, click confirm and you’re all set.  For purchases over $1,000 we also accept wire transfers and checks, please contact us if you’d like to make a purchase over $1,000 and do not wish to pay via credit card or PayPal.  

After you make your purchases, the site will direct you to your downloads page where you can grab your tracks.

What usages does your licensing agreement NOT allow?

Direct resale/redistribution is strictly prohibited. Other than that, we’ve got you covered - with the right license, there is very little you can’t do with our tunes or sound effects. Check out our license page for more details.

Can I download preview audio files on your site to test in my project for free?

Yes! Once logged in, you can download our watermarked preview files to see if a track is right for your project. Just click this icon  next to the track or in your player and the download will begin. 
 
If everything works out, you can purchase the full quality version without watermarks, most available in .aiff, .wav, and .mp3 formats.

What if I don’t want to purchase stock music tracks using PayPal?

In what file format is your music delivered?

For files uploaded and listed as MP3 – the content is delivered in the original bit rate that the
track was uploaded in – e.g. MP3 at 320 Kbps 


For files uploaded and listed as WAV – the client has the option to download the file as a WAV,
AIFF, or MP3 file in the following sample rates:  

 

• WAV = the original sample size/sample rate that the track was uploaded in - e.g. 48 kHz/16 bit 
 
• AIFF = the original sample size/sample rate that the track was uploaded in - e.g. 48kHz/16 bit
 
• MP3 = 320 Kbps

 

For files uploaded and listed as AIFF – the client has the option to download the file as an MP3, WAV or AIFF file in the following sample rates:

 
 
• AIFF = the original sample size/sample rate that the track was uploaded in - e.g. 48kHz/16 bit
 

• WAV = the original sample size/sample rate that the track was uploaded in - e.g. 48 kHz/16 bit

Can I submit tracks as well as buy tracks?

Yes! All users are automatically registered as both music sellers and music buyers within the same user account.

Is it safe to pay by credit card online on the AudioMicro site?

We use a rock solid, 256-bit encrypted Secure Socket Layer (SSL) to protect your transactions.  Your transactions are 100% secure and encrypted by our merchant gateway providers (Braintreepayments.net and PayPal).  In fact, at AudioMicro, we do not actually ever see or have direct access to your credit card information during the transaction process.  Your transactions are perfectly safe with AudioMicro.

Can I share my AudioMicro downloads with my friends?

No. The stock music tracks on our site are copyright protected intellectual property. Customers that download files from the AudioMicro website cannot copy or distribute them outside the scope of individual commercial projects.

I’m getting an error message when I try to download.

If your download is interrupted for any reason, or you lose the file on your hard drive, (or any other such disaster!) don't worry.  You can re-download your purchased tracks by visiting your “My Account” page and clicking on “Tracks Licensed”.  Please contact us if you are still experiencing download problems and we’ll assist you asap.

My file downloaded ok, but it won’t open. What should I do?

If the MP3 / WAV / AIF file downloaded completely but your software program doesn't open it, simply try again using another software program and resave. If you still experience problems contact us.

I just paid for a track. How do I get it? Where is it?

Please go to "My Account" (top right) and then to "Tracks Licensed" (left sidebar) and download the track now or anytime again in the future.

I forgot to cancel my subscription. Can I have a refund? (For legacy subscribers 3/31/12 and prior)

We are very sorry but renewals are NOT REFUNDABLE.  Forgetting to cancel is not a valid excuse and no refunds will be granted if you forget to cancel before the renewal date. 

 

If you have an active monthly subscription from the old credit system version of AudioMicro, we encourage you not to cancel it, here’s why...For every month you continue to renew, we will be giving you 1.5x the dollars that the subscription is for.  e.g. a $19.99 subscription renewal will receive $29.98 in AudioMicro dollars for each monthly renewal going forward.  If you cancel, the deal will stop and going forward you’ll have to purchase through ala cart, dollar based pricing. 

 

Subscriptions will renew each month automatically until cancelled.  YOU CAN CANCEL ANYTIME prior to the monthly anniversary.  After you cancel, you will not be charged again and you should receive a cancellation confirmation via email from PayPal.  Failure to cancel before the renewal date is not grounds for a refund.  Subscriptions purchase are not refundable.

How do I cancel my subscription?

If you have a subscription that you no longer want or need, you may cancel your subscription at any time prior to it's monthly renewal. 
 
 
WARNING: Once you cancel your subscription, you will NOT be able to download any more sound effects from that particular subscription plan. Be sure to use any remaining downloads prior to cancellation. 
 
 
If you purchased your subscription via credit card, simply follow the below link, and click the "Deactivate" button/hyperlink next to your plan details.

1.  Log in  to your PayPal account.
2.  Click History at the top of the page.
3.  Find the subscription in your History.

Alternatively, Click the Settings icon next to "Log out." Select Preapproved Payments under "Payment settings." Select the merchant whose agreement you want to cancel, and click the Cancel Subscription button.

Where can I download my license?

If you navigate to your Tracks Licensed section, click on the license type below any given track to display the license, and you may print from there. 

 

At the top of the license is a unique code which identifies your User # in our database and as well the track ID # in our database. Each license is specific to the track you licensed. 

 

If you need to update the name of the licensee you can do so by navigating to your Display Name in your My Profile settings and update your display name as you wish it to appear on your licenses. To go straight there click here

Can I upgrade my license?

You can upgrade your license using the orange upgrade button in your tracks licensed section. Simply navigate to your tracks licensed page and scroll to the music track you wish to upgrade the license for. Below the format types you weill see an orange upgrade button- simply click on it, and use the menu to select the license you wish to upgrade to. Make your selection and check out, and you are all set.

I have a music subscription, can I upgrade my licenses?

Absolutely. Simply download the track to your tracks licensed section using one of your monthly downloads. Then, check out the instructions here for details on how to upgrade your license. If you have any problems, contact our customer support team

Where can I get an invoice for my purchase?

You can print an invoice directly from your account for any of your purchases by navigating to your purchase history page. Simply click the "Show" button next to any purchase to display and print your invoice.

 

If you need your company name, address and VAT number to appear on your invoices, simply update the necessary information on your profile edit page. Once you have completed entering and saved any info you need on your profile page, return to your purchase history page and the info will appear on your invoices.

How do AudioMicro subscriptions work?

 

AudioMicro Subscriptions


AudioMicro offers monthly subscription packages (herein referred to as “Subscriptions”) for licenses to use music tracks (herein referred to as “Tracks”) and sound effects (herein referred to as “SFX”) at better rates than if purchasing a single license at a time (a la carte).


Subscriptions are offered for a price that is charged on a monthly basis (“recurring”). There are no separate or isolated fees for creating or cancelling a Subscription. The Subscription rates can be found here for Music Tracks:

The day the Subscription has been purchased, a transaction will be processed. There are no initiation charges or dues, only the price of the Subscription. On the same day each month following the initial charge, a new charge will process again automatically for the same amount.


For example, if you purchase a Subscription on July 4th, then your payment card or PayPal account will be charged monthly on the 4th (i.e. first on July 4th, then on August 4th, then on Sept 4th, etc.) until you go to your AudioMicro account (and where necessary, your PayPal account - in the case where you made your initial subscription purchase via PayPal) and DEACTIVATE the Subscription. (PayPal subscription purchases must be deactivated from within both the AudioMicro account AND their PayPal Subscription Manager pages).


The Subscription provides your account with a designated number of download credits (hereinafter referred to as “Credits”) to use to download the desired Tracks or SFX files. These Credits expire at the end of each month, and do not “roll-over.” Rather, each month when your Subscription renews, it resets to the total number of Credits offered in your Subscription.


For example, if you have a Subscription for 100 sounds, your account will receive 100 Credits each month. If we follow the example from above and assume this Subscription was purchased on July 4th, then every month that the Subscription is active after that on the 4th (August 4th, September 4th, October 4th, etc), the account will reset to 100 sounds. If you use 50 of your allotted 100 Credits for the month of July, the account will still reset to 100 sounds on August 4th.


You can cancel your Subscription at any time after purchasing it without penalty. WARNING: When you cancel your Subscription, the unused / remaining Credits from your Subscription will immediately expire! Please be sure to download everything you need before you cancel.
