Composer Vicente Avella has been scoring to picture since 1996; when he developed a passion for the art form while taking film music courses at the Eastman School of Music. It was at that point that he realized that his love for both stories and music finds a perfect blend in films.
...Read more...Since then, he has composed scores to a number of award winning films and animations. The press has described his music as “good taste unto genius” (The Boston Globe). Most recently, three of the films he scored were screened at the 2008 Cannes Film Festival’s Short Film Corner. He currently works as an orchestrator and on the music production for two major network television shows: Family Guy (FOX) & American Dad (FOX).
Alongside his film scoring activities, he remains active as pianist and concert music composer. He holds a B.M. in Piano Performance from Indiana University and a M.M. in Composition from the Eastman School of Music. Originally from Venezuela, he currently resides with his wife Christi in Los Angeles, California.
