kevin taylor (schmange) has been playing guitar and performing for 25 years and done everything from running his own music store with 45 students to operations management in installations of high end audio equipment, to engineering, producing and publishing. he has his bachelor's degree in contempor...Read more...ary music from humber collegiate in toronto, canada and has been involved in many facets of the music industry both live and in the studio. he writes and arranges original scores for corporate video, radio and television commercials and is a prolific songwriter.
he currently divides his time between canada and the u.k. where he owns and operates two recording studios and an independent record label. kevin’s primary studio in ontario, canada is used for multitrack recording, looping, and tv/film soundtracks. his larger studio in cornwall, england is used for recording and everything from mastering, to file conversions and loop production.
kevin's albums such as “the dark”, “time enough”, and “phaseiv chronicles” are available through all major online retailers including itunes, rhapsody, napster, lastfm and many more.
he is currently signed with numerous music publishers and his compositions have been used in television shows such as "smallville", "the sarah conner chronicles", "the closer", "the oc", "fringe" as well as documentaries for cnn, tsn, tvo, global television and many others. he has also done radio and television jingle work for 10 years for many companies including mcdonalds, wal mart, thrifty rent-a-car, blockbuster video, pizza hut and sonic
kevin has been a long-time member of the canadian guitar players association and his lessons are carried by such sites as guitartricks.com”, “cyberfret.com” and the official "gibson.com” guitar site.
