aaron has just finished composing the soundtrack for eight episodes of the successful discovery channel and sbs series lonely planet six degrees the series looks at major cities around the world and saw aaron pulling out his newly acquired mexican mariachi bass guitar one minute and putting together dark and demonic germanic break beats the next. the series rolled off the back of another successful discovery commission for aaron, vintage new zealand which looked at the explosion of new zealand wines worldwide. the program featured an unusually eclectic array of tunes including croatian folk, honky tonk, sixties r&b, camp disco, classical chamber music and hard house. all from the one-man box of frogs - aaron darcy. aaron composed the theme tune and soundtrack for 60 episodes of channel tens popular in entertainment with antonia kidman, as well as motor racing show v8x, asian basketball show, sportsworld, and the way of the bonsai the list goes on. aarons sound engineering credentials are just as impressive having slid the faders for little river band, peter cupples and dozens of melbourne bands. and what does aaron darcy like to do when hes not composing? play in his own rock band speed orange of course!
