Matt Jarvis Music
Coming from a very musical family, Matt has always had an interest in music. In his younger years he filled his time learning to play the drums and DJing in various nightclubs across England. Matt attended Northampton College and the University of Central Lancashire to study music production. Whilst continuing his studies he completed a number of work experience placements in radio, recording and composing.
Matt expanded his contacts in the media industry and produced a number of creative products throughout his University course. He collaborated with many of the students on related courses, allowing him to develop good communication skills and the ability to create a positive working environment. The final year provided Matt with the platform to begin his career, and during a professional development project he landed a commission to write bespoke songs for Lancashire One - Lancashire’s local TV channel.
In May 2012, Matt graduated from UCLan with a First-class BA Hons in Music Production. Since then he has worked with award-winning songwriter David Tobin on a selection of projects for the BBC and Audio Network. Matt also assisted in the start up, management and production of Mastertrax a backing track production company.
